Reviews for Kingston Apple fourGB Kit (2x2GB Modules) 667MHz DDR2 SoDimm iMac and Macbook Memory (KTA-MB667K2/4GR) (Personal Computers) Bought this RAM for my Core2Duo MacBook Pro and it truly works completely. Easy to install, you just desire a tiny jeweler's model screwdriver and far, less expensive than Apple's ridiculous worth.

I don't be aware why Steve Jobs must promote computing devices with two RAM slots using 2x1GB chips, particularly when he wants Apple to be considered as "environmentally friendly.

Reviews for Speck Products See-Thru Case for 13-Inch MacBook Pro with Aluminum Unibody/Black Keyboard Only (Clear) (Personal Computers) I bought my MBP thirteen in June 2009. I don't know how, however two weeks later - the laptop had a deep scratch, making the computer look like it had a crack. After going to 2 Apple retailers for a Genius test....they used a device to substantiate it was just a very deep scratch. I've checked out a quantity of shells and circumstances seeing that, and the cases have been either overvalued or blocked/obstructed sure ports (including the sleep indicator). I waited for the Amazon overviews to be posted on this case, because I wished to make positive all ports had been available and no longer being blocked by way of the case....especially since there have been other Speck editions on hand on-line for the older MBs. The different circumstances I looked at were the InvisibleShield and the BookShell.

* All ports available and now not obstructed.

* From the brink of the safety lock gap (towards the mouse pad) to the closest edge of the case is about zero.5 inch.

* From the threshold of the headset jack to the shutst fringe of the case is about 5/8 of an inch.

* There is a battery indicator "indentation howeverton" molded into the case...so that you might press it to test your battery degree.

* There is a gap cut out for the infrared.

* The case comes in two items, and were easy to snap on.

* The case fits very smartly and cushty to my MBP thirteen. I even put a decal sticker on the within of the monitor piece, and the case matchs superb.

* A microfiber material comes with the case.

* There are vents on the bottom case, but as mentioned on an older overview - no longer all vents are lower out. I'm no longer interested by using this on the grounds that I'm now not a gamer, and the MBP unibody case sorta acts like a warmth sink to lend a hand dissipate the warmth.
Reviews for Speck Products See-Thru Case for 13-Inch MacBooks with Aluminum Unibody/Black Keyboard (Green) (Personal Computers) I only in the near past purchased a 13" Macbook Pro and have been looking for a case to offer give safety toion to it. I seemed around and eventually settled on the Speck See Thru Case in inexperienced. This is an excellent case!!! First of all the green color looks truly great and the see thru case allows you to see the glowing apple which seems cool. It additionally fits perfectly and it mainly seems like you shouldn't have a give protection toive duvet on the computer in any respect. It adds little or no if any additional bulk on the computer and so in the experience you use an additional case or sleeve to hold round your mac, it will match without any downside. Also, all of the plugs and howevertons are all available. This is a good product and I extremely suggest it to protect your funding. It additionally comes with a nice mud rag to dust off your laptop sooner than you place the case on.
Reviews for Speck Products See-Thru Case for 13-Inch MacBook Pro with Aluminum Unibody/Black Keyboard Only (Clear) (Personal Computers) I was torn between the satin pink (the best coloured one that seems really good IMHO) and this one. But ultimately, I settled on clear as a consequence of I did not want to quilt up the silver aluminum unibody. And, in actuality, it seems outstanding, permitting the silver to show via a glossy sheen! I'll simply begin by means of pronouncing that buying from Amazon is clearly the smart factor to do; these cases are bought for $50 on the Apple retailer. That being stated, these circumstances are the perfect I've viewed as a consequence of they're authentic to the form of the Mac. Other circumstances have type of boxy taking a seem to be aspects and a few kind of weird field around the glowing apple, which is just simple tacky, I think. And whereas I love the graceful unibody of the Mac, I noticed that after it gets smudged (easily), the outside appears uninteresting, and though it's actually held up in reality neatly to scratches, it can be not scratch proof. In a few months after purchasing, you are going to begin to peer some scratches forming to your Mac, so do not wait so lengthy as I did to buy the case!

One essential thing to point out is that I used to be truly involved that this particular one was once now not made for the more moderen Macbook Pro variation, however reasonably for the aluminum unibody Macbook; I simplest lately realized that there may be a difference. But leisure guaranteed that the factor on this page DOES fit the present Macbook Pro thirteen inch completely. Bottom line, the headphone jack is totally unobstructed and the power adapter that Apple at the moment provides fits without main issues facing both guidelines (with the lengthy part dealing with towards you or away from you). I even have a palmguard on mine, but the case still clasps perfectly in that house. Also, the highest duvet will no longer be heavy sufficient to tug the reveal again.

That being stated, you do need to be a little cautious when putting in it, as you do no lengthyer need the parts of the case to scratch the Mac. And it's a bit tough to take off as quickly as you have got put it on; that you could't just pull it off. You have to scrupulously raise from both aspects the place the clasps are, and make sure you don't bend it too much.

*Also, I would not suggest the utilization of the orange cleansing cloth that contains the case.

Reviews for Apple MacBook Pro MC700LL/A thirteen.3-Inch Laptop (OLD VERSION) (Personal Computers) I stopped through my native Apple Store the morning this MacBook Pro used to be made available to the public and acquired one, replacing my over two yr old unibody MacBook. These are top class pcs, and smartly made. My previous computer, which appears very very similar to this one, nonetheless seemed nice after two years, with a little bit scratching on the underneathside, and an unlucky denting of one nook. I don't feel sorry about for one minute paying more for a software I use a few hours a day, and from which I derive my living.

The sturdy level of this pc over earlier thirteen inch unibody MacBooks is the methodor. It will now not beiceably quicker at computationally intensive tasks. For example, I have a large utility written in the C++ programming language which Xcode on my late 2008 old MacBook may compile in sixteen.5 minutes, this MacBook can do the same job in 8.5 minutes, a virtually doubling of pace. Similiarly, converting a ten minute MP3 file to AAC in iTunes used to take 21 2nds, now it takes 14 2ds. Unsurprisingly, pc processors have gotten quicker. The new processor does tend to heat up quick under full load, so be prepared for extra prevalent fan noise.

The vulnerable level is the stock arduous power, a 320GB 5400 RPM Hitachi computer drive. Any operation relying on arduous power throughput is not going to be much quicker on this computer than in 12 monthss earlier.
Reviews for Apple MacBook Pro MC700LL/A thirteen.3-Inch Laptop (OLD VERSION) (Personal Computers) When I bought this MacBook Pro, most evaluates seemed to be from existing Mac customers who had been happy with the instrument. There are plenty of overviews speaking concerning the technical specs of this Mac, so I'll spare those coz I myself am still developing the curve on them. My overview is based solely on my expertise from the standpoint of a PC user for the past 16+ years. Hopefully in case you, like me, are considering making the change, you'll in finding this at the least partly useful. I mostly use the Mac for Office and Adobe softwares and don't know so much about computers beyond that as a lengthy approach as technicals are concerned.

Set up - Set up is as straight ahead as it is with any Apple instrument. They make it intuitive and a breeze to arrange their tools. Absolutely no concerns there.

Updates - One thing that really stricken me about Windows used to be that it used to be constantly updating itself - I imply I bought a brand new PC and Windows took a good 10 minutes to "update" (huh?). This slowed down my PC, and shutting it down took several minutes as Windows did its factor. No such criticism with the Mac. Even if it does automatically replace, the process just isn't visible and does not decelerate the pace of the Mac.
Reviews for Apple MacBook Pro MC700LL/A thirteen.3-Inch Laptop (OLD VERSION) (Personal Computers) Apple at all times knew the means in which of maximizing profit: 2010 variation were a step up however drawn again on the CPU, 2011 variation had a huge step up on CPU, however drawn again on its photo.

2010 variation overview: 2.4ghz Core 2 duo, gt320m

2011 model overview: 2.3ghz Core i5, Intel HD3200

The graphic card went from a discrete picture card to a on board photo, which is a large let down for me, as a fan.

All the brand new thunderbolt expertise is a step up, but take into consideration this. USB 3 or Thunderbolt, I'd say USB three can be more common and more helpful. Another let down is the restricted connectivity of Thunderbolt.

Reviews for Kingston Apple four GB Kit (2x2GB Modules) 1066MHz DDR3 SODIMM iMac and Macbook Memory (KTA-MB1066K2/4GR) (Personal Computers) I sold this reminiscence to install in a white MacBook, the late-2010 variety.

It was once fast and straightforward to put in the utilization of instructions from Apple's support

site. Worked nice the primary time. Upgrading my memory this fashion cost

me lower than half of as so much as buying memory from Apple, although I ordered

from Apple and installed it myself.

One warning about opening up a white MacBook: maintain observe of EXACTLY

which screw got here from EXACTLY which hole. The screws are different

lengths, and it can be method more uncomplicated to simply put the same screw again in the same

place than to sort out exactly what size needs to go where.
Reviews for Kingston Apple four GB Kit (2x2GB Modules) 1066MHz DDR3 SODIMM iMac and Macbook Memory (KTA-MB1066K2/4GR) (Personal Computers) I have a brand new Macbook Pro 13" with the 2.4ghz processor. I am running the Kingston 8GB equipment with a G. Skill 120GB SSD, the computer screams and could only imagine if I opted for the 15" with the i7 but the best approach I have it now my 13" is just too quick for what I need in any case. The ram obtained a four for ease of use because I had to reset my PRAM upon set up. The computer was slow to start with, booted into the diagnostic instruments, reminiscence passed all diagnostic tests so just went wil simple hassleshooting steps via resetting the PRAM/NVRAM and the SMC for just right measure.

Reviews for Speck SeeThru for 17-Inch MacBook Pro Unibody - Clear (MB17AU-SEE-CLR-D) (Personal Computers) Apologies for the pun...I sold this clear Speck arduous shell case for my liked 17" Macbook Pro, and thus far, it has finished its objective very neatly. This is not going to give protection to your laptop from a laborious fall, but it will protect it from the put on and tear that's inevitable with daily (for me, nearly 24/7) use. It keeps the floor of my laptop scratch-free, and supplys a good grip on table surfaces, etc. Usually the aluminum unibody Macbook Pros are so slippery, but the Speck case maintains my laptop from struggling irrevocable damage from slipping and sliding. I docked a star as a result of on occasion, after I am using my laptop fairly intensively, the addition of the plastic case makes the pc run slightly hotter than it does without the case; besides, my CPU temp has never surpassed 120F.
Reviews for Speck SeeThru for 17-Inch MacBook Pro Unibody - Clear (MB17AU-SEE-CLR-D) (Personal Computers) My domestic has many laptop pcs which get a variety of use and are "traded" amongstst us, then they are sooner or later re-sold. When we get a new one, we instantly put a SPEK cover on it and when it can be time for it to "move on" to the following owner, it seems to be brand new. We can get high buck for our very used (but now not abused) computers due to SPEK!! One of my sons was once within the military; he took his laptop on deployment to Iraq. When he received back, the "guts" needed some repair.

Reviews for Apple MagSafe 60W Power Adapter for MacBook MC461LL/A with AC Extension Wall Cord (Retail Packaging) (Personal Computers) I bought this as a alternative for the unique adapter for my 13" Macbook, which briefed out after thirteen months of standard use (primarily in house). This design is believe to be an development on the unique design (the wire at the celebrityt related perpendicular to the Macbook as an alternative of flush to the body) and mimics the design of the power adapter that is been used for the Macbook Air because its inception. This twine quicked on the mag tip after 39 days! Do now not wrap the twine across the included hooks, but as an alternative coil it loose and stable it with Velcro. Apparently, wrapping the wire on the "designed for storage hooks" is not that which you can imagine with the model new power adapters even supposing I even have adapters from my so much previouser 12" Powerbook (2000) which might be still working wonderful and are saved in this manner continuously. This is starting to make me rethink ever shopping for some other Mac pc. Having to pay $79 for replacement energy adapter twice in less than 18 months is getting to be a luxurious owner's tax for having a Mac.
Reviews for Apple MagSafe 60W Power Adapter for MacBook MC461LL/A with AC Extension Wall Cord (Retail Packaging) (Personal Computers) All of my evaluations on Amazon are frequently very enthusiastic for the product I'm writing it for, however the Apple magazinesafe adapter is horrible-- not only the previous model however the model new edition (which is additionally worse). I am now on my THIRD new edition in a subject of most definitely 7 months, and went through FOUR previous models that turned into unwired at the precise magsafe phase (oh yeah, and would spark and smoke). I do not abuse the wiring and my pc keeps mostly on my desk, except for for the few occasions it moves to my mattress or the couch; I hardly ever take it out of the home. The new one is meant to be flush with the computer to theoretically lead to much less bending, but as an alternative it spins around and around except the wiring briefs out. Of course each and each time I now noticed it coiled I would fix it and check out to straighten out the wiring, however after a few months of this, the wiring just totally ends conducting electrical energy.

It's completely ridiculous that I must spend with reference to a $100 bucks each couple of months! I in level of fact may NOT care much less how "thin" and "stylish" it is-- I need it to work AND for a decent period of time.
Reviews for Apple MagSafe 60W Power Adapter for MacBook MC461LL/A with AC Extension Wall Cord (Retail Packaging) (Personal Computers) If you could have a white MacBook that got here with a straight (45 watt) adapter and beauty if this will work for your computing device, I can inform you that when our forty five watt adapter went out for our White (Intel) Macbook, we made the 60 watt (angled) adapter from our Silver 13 inch Macbook Pro take turns servicing both our computers. Since the battery life on the silver Macbook is so excellent, it is not an incredible exhaustingship. I gave this four somewhat than 5 megastars as a outcome of it is just a little dear, and Apple won't license the proprietary connector to Targus or any person who needs to make a common adapter.

Update 10/2011: In just somewhat over a yr, the cord just plumb wore out. There was once no sectionicular incident, however the defensive wore via exposing the naked wires. A $75 adapter will have to ultimate more than a 12 months. If you bathroom look here and on the Apple site, way too often these adapters do not make it even that lengthy. What are you capable to do? You've acquired to replace it. There are loads of 0.33 phaseies promoting what purports to be this adapter at a suspiciously low value. I've had excellent success with returns thru Amazon, so I'm going to take my chances on one.
