Reviews for Apple MagSafe 60W Power Adapter for MacBook MC461LL/A with AC Extension Wall Cord (Retail Packaging) (Personal Computers) I bought this as a alternative for the unique adapter for my 13" Macbook, which briefed out after thirteen months of standard use (primarily in house). This design is believe to be an development on the unique design (the wire at the celebrityt related perpendicular to the Macbook as an alternative of flush to the body) and mimics the design of the power adapter that is been used for the Macbook Air because its inception. This twine quicked on the mag tip after 39 days! Do now not wrap the twine across the included hooks, but as an alternative coil it loose and stable it with Velcro. Apparently, wrapping the wire on the "designed for storage hooks" is not that which you can imagine with the model new power adapters even supposing I even have adapters from my so much previouser 12" Powerbook (2000) which might be still working wonderful and are saved in this manner continuously. This is starting to make me rethink ever shopping for some other Mac pc. Having to pay $79 for replacement energy adapter twice in less than 18 months is getting to be a luxurious owner's tax for having a Mac.
Reviews for Apple MagSafe 60W Power Adapter for MacBook MC461LL/A with AC Extension Wall Cord (Retail Packaging) (Personal Computers) All of my evaluations on Amazon are frequently very enthusiastic for the product I'm writing it for, however the Apple magazinesafe adapter is horrible-- not only the previous model however the model new edition (which is additionally worse). I am now on my THIRD new edition in a subject of most definitely 7 months, and went through FOUR previous models that turned into unwired at the precise magsafe phase (oh yeah, and would spark and smoke). I do not abuse the wiring and my pc keeps mostly on my desk, except for for the few occasions it moves to my mattress or the couch; I hardly ever take it out of the home. The new one is meant to be flush with the computer to theoretically lead to much less bending, but as an alternative it spins around and around except the wiring briefs out. Of course each and each time I now noticed it coiled I would fix it and check out to straighten out the wiring, however after a few months of this, the wiring just totally ends conducting electrical energy.
It's completely ridiculous that I must spend with reference to a $100 bucks each couple of months! I in level of fact may NOT care much less how "thin" and "stylish" it is-- I need it to work AND for a decent period of time.
Reviews for Apple MagSafe 60W Power Adapter for MacBook MC461LL/A with AC Extension Wall Cord (Retail Packaging) (Personal Computers) If you could have a white MacBook that got here with a straight (45 watt) adapter and beauty if this will work for your computing device, I can inform you that when our forty five watt adapter went out for our White (Intel) Macbook, we made the 60 watt (angled) adapter from our Silver 13 inch Macbook Pro take turns servicing both our computers. Since the battery life on the silver Macbook is so excellent, it is not an incredible exhaustingship. I gave this four somewhat than 5 megastars as a outcome of it is just a little dear, and Apple won't license the proprietary connector to Targus or any person who needs to make a common adapter.
Update 10/2011: In just somewhat over a yr, the cord just plumb wore out. There was once no sectionicular incident, however the defensive wore via exposing the naked wires. A $75 adapter will have to ultimate more than a 12 months. If you bathroom look here and on the Apple site, way too often these adapters do not make it even that lengthy. What are you capable to do? You've acquired to replace it. There are loads of 0.33 phaseies promoting what purports to be this adapter at a suspiciously low value. I've had excellent success with returns thru Amazon, so I'm going to take my chances on one.

Reviews for Original Apple 60W Power Adapter (T-shaped Connector) for MacBook with AC Extension Wall Cord (Personal Computers) There's a tremendous flaw in design of this apple energy adapter, and
it's the extremely skinny twine and its well-liked level of bending at where
it connects to the macbook, namely at simply sooner than the magazinesafe
ending. After the use of my macbook for a year, the cord smelled
like it was once burning.. the quilting on the twine melted off.. sparked
smoked some extra.. then kaput totally, argh! googled value for new
one, $80 bucks a pop. Checked out apple's web site for reviews on comparable
adapter and same downside came up with others.. over and over again.
I luv apple comps., but this energy adapter is inaccurate. Go learn the
reviews at apple's web page! Almost 600 now, and most terrible.. having
same burnout going down to differents in frequently related spot. I suggest
contacting your local apple provider middle and getting the tech
support number with Apple and speaking with them ahead of dishing out
your mula. I'll seize a new one if they don't substitute, but will
definately re-inforce this area round magnetic finish so as not to
create a stresspoint that damages the connection. Just a heads-up.
Reviews for Original Apple 60W Power Adapter (T-shaped Connector) for MacBook with AC Extension Wall Cord (Personal Computers) My wife's white Macbook's authentic power adapter's cable ripped and was now not dependable, so we wanted to get a model new one. Luckily, I checked Amazon earlier than I checked out at Best Buy and paid full price. This is a sound authentic Apple replacement adapter, just at a less expensive price.
I'm not ranking the design of the adapter. This product, however, does what it must -- it replaces a misguided energy adapter for a Macbook.
Reviews for Original Apple 60W Power Adapter (T-shaped Connector) for MacBook with AC Extension Wall Cord (Personal Computers) I am on my third adapter prior to now yr, the plastic wire duvet wrecks on the connecter and not operates. After the primary two went out I used to be extremly cautious about the use of this wire and it nonetheless broke! and as Apple has a patent on this product I cant get one by using a unique producer, I am stuck ordering but any other one.

Reviews for Apple 60W MagSafe Power Adapter for MacBook and 13-inch MacBook Pro (Bulk Packaging) (Electronics) I bought the Apple 60W MagSafe Power Adapter (L type) for MacBook from Westronics, fulfilled by means of Amazon. The item description states that it is a real Apple product and that it's a model new unit. The adapter I obtained was not new. There have been scratches on the skin and one huge gash on the side. The unit appears refurbished.
Reviews for Apple 60W MagSafe Power Adapter for MacBook and 13-inch MacBook Pro (Bulk Packaging) (Electronics) The product didn't look like new and that it was now not in the unique package deal. After opening the bundle, I realized that the charger used to be lacking the connection to plug into the wall. I was once able to return this item for a full refund without an issue.
Reviews for Apple 60W MagSafe Power Adapter for MacBook and 13-inch MacBook Pro (Bulk Packaging) (Electronics) My device: 2006 White Macbook Laptop
At first I was hesitant to purchase a new power adapter from a non-Apple retailer because of all the fakes, however i am lucky to document that this one doesn't look like pretend.
The adapter has the Apple brand and appears legit. However, the cable texture really feels just a little grainy compared to my previous charger... so maybe Apple redesigned the cable, I am unsure.
Anyway, the most important attribute is whether the charger works as advertised! I can file that the charger has been properly working the previous week. The standing mild on the plugs work (Orange = charging, Green = Fully charged), and the laptop has not exploded or the rest =)
When comparing this new plug to the previous plug, this plug sports activities a brand new facet design that purposes to stop the wire to bend and wreck from prolonged use (Something my outdated charger did). However, one factor I kind of dislike is how much more uncomplicated it is to by chance pull the plug from the laptop in comparability with the outdated one. The magnetism is weaker and a mild tug of the wire will unplug the charger totally from the laptop.
To sum up:
This charger works and that is less expensive ($15 bucks cheaper) than buying from Apple.
I will replace this evaluate if any issues arise.

- 100% OEM Compatible

Reviews for Replacement 60W MagSafe Power Adapter for Apple MacBook Pro Charger (Electronics) I got this costr for my MacBook (one of the newer aluminum ones) after my original Apple model one died (by totally setting apart the small twine that goes from the transformer to the laptop from the transformer). The apple model ones had been considerably extra, round $75. When the wire bought right here the one observable difference was the shortage of an apple logo on the side and the charger handiest came with the trip plug (which is ok if it is a alternative as a end result of one will have to nonetheless have the extension cord plug).
However when the use of this charging cable, which you may now not reliably charge the pc and run it on the related time. So you want to either turn off or shut your laptop except the battery is utterly charged in an effort to run off AC power. Otherwise incessantly you'll get a message announcing *Not Charging* in your battery and slowly the battery will drain to 0% and the pc will begin bouncing inside and outside of emergency sleep mode (the mode the Mac goes into when the reserve battery is useless as neatly).
Reviews for Replacement 60W MagSafe Power Adapter for Apple MacBook Pro Charger (Electronics) Honestly, I dislike this design of the 60Watt power adaptor. I even have have gone via 2 60Watt energy adapters already due to a definite drawback I had been having. Many people don't understand that there's considerable wire strain from the 60Watt adaptation for the rationale that wire would regularly flip both to the fitting or left when you had beenn't cautious for your place. Whereas 85Watt edition has the wire coming from the facet to prevent this strain and that is extremely important, simply google "magsafe burn" and you can see what I mean.
Reviews for Replacement 60W MagSafe Power Adapter for Apple MacBook Pro Charger (Electronics) I at the begin bought this because it used to be pictured with the "new magsafe 90 degree" design, but once I acquired it, the "old magsafe" fashion was once what I acquired.
The seller refunded my money, and let me preserve the adapter for my trouble and confusion! Great customer service!
The adapter itself works smartly, but behaves slightly otherwise than the unique Apple one I actually have.
- When plugged in, or removed, the light on the tip stays lit inexperienced. It does express "amber" when charging, and "green" when fully charged (or disconnected).
- The dimensions of the brick are thicker than a inventory item It seems to be the identical WxH though.
- No Apple Embossing (obviously)
- The "duckhead" (Where the AC plug snaps in) is wider, to compare the contour of the thicker brick, and makes use of polarized AC prongs (one wider than the different), requiring you to compare your plug's orientation, whereas the matching prongs of Apple's adapter permit regular or "upside down" insertion to get round different AC adapters, which is especially useful with surge protectors and energy strips.
Overall it works very well, is neatly made (the twine appears extra flexible, however improved than the Apple person who break ups and frays).
